Joseph P. Broschak, executive director of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship and Associate Professor of Management and Organizations, was invited to serve on a hearing of the Working Group on Women in the 21st Century Workforce in October.

Price V. Fishback took home the Eller equivalent of the triple crown this past year, winning the UA’s Graduate and Professional Education Teaching and Mentoring Award for his work with Ph.D. students, the full-time MBA Outstanding Faculty Award, and the Don Wells Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award for his work supervising undergraduate honors theses. He is also the recipient of the Jonathan Hughes Award for Teaching in Economic History and the Arthur Cole Award for best paper in the Journal of Economic History.

Congratulations to the Economic and Business Research Center! The team’s MAP Dashboard project received one of the highest honors on October 25 when it won the 2016 Award of Excellence in Websites from the Association from University Business and Economic Research (AUBER). It is also a finalist for the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation Awards and the Metropolitan Pima Alliance Common Ground Award. The Dashboard was also selected as one of seven winners nationwide for the quality of its data visualizations by the Association of Public Data Users.
